There are many free shows, attractions, and plenty of things to see for free right on the Las Vegas Strip.

Best Free Things to Do on the Vegas Strip
Since most visitors stay, I am going to start off with the top free things I would recommend, especially forfirst timers.

Hail Caesar! Atlantis Fountain Show at Forum Shops
Location: 3570 S Las Vegas Blvd space b05, map | Category: Show and Entertainment
When: Thur – Mon, every hour, noon to 8 pm, Dark Tues & Wed
This animatronic show at the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace tells the story of King Atlas and his children who fight over the throne of Atlantis. Nine-foot-tall statues use fire and water to delight people of all ages. Be sure to also see the Atlantis Aquarium nearby.
Drift Away at the Free Wynn’s Lake of Dreams Show
Location: 3131 Las Vegas Blvd, map | Category: Show & Entertainment
The water spectacle at Wynn features a 40-foot waterfall with more than 4,000 lights and amazing holographic images and puppetry, all set to music. The show runs nightly at dusk, every 30 minutes.
Tip: Enjoy the view of the waterfall at SW Steakhouse or Lakeside at the Wynn
Bellagio’s Symphony of Fountains
3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, map | Category: Show & Entertainment
This is an obvious must see attraction in Las Vegas and something I check out each trip to Vegas.
Tip: Be sure to get a fountain view if staying at Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, or Paris.
Choreographed to a concert of classical, opera, Broadway and pop music, this 15-minute aquatic jaw dropper can be viewed from many locations in the Bellagio, or right from the Strip sidewalk.
The Bellagio fountains are probably the most visited attraction on the strip.

- Sat, Sun, & Holidays: noon to 6:30 pm, every 30 min

See Exploding Fireballs from the Mirage Volcano
Location: 3400 S Las Vegas Blvd, map | Category: Attraction
Feel your heart pound as this Vegas volcano begins to rumble and escalate to explosions of fire spray and steam with this free attraction on the Vegas strip. Another one of my favorite free attractions. You may want to explore it before it goes away with the Hard Rock Hotel takeover of Mirage.
Set to music from The Grateful Dead, the fire and lights show happens nightly every hour from 7 pm to 11 pm.
Beauty and Blooms at Bellagio Conservatory
Location: 3600 S Las Vegas Blvd, map | Category: Attraction
This breathtaking 14,000-square-foot garden is designed and themed annually according to season and holiday. Located in the lobby of the Bellagio hotel, lose yourself in the peaceful atmosphere and wondrous beauty of this free botanical dreamscape.
“M” stands for “Mmmmm” at M&M’s
Location: 3785 S Las Vegas Blvd, map | Category: Attraction
M&M World is four stories of chocolate paradise!
Located on the south end of the Strip, each floor offers sweet and wonderful themes and activities—from personalizing your own candy to browsing M&M’s collectibles and merchandise. While it is free to enter, I am sure you will be tempted to purchase something like I did.
Countless Kisses at Hershey’s Chocolate World
Location: 3790 S Las Vegas Blvd, map | Category: Attraction
You can be surrounded by all your favorite chocolate candy at the Hersey Chocolate World.
The store is located at the New York New York Hotel and Casino and has more than 800 varieties of chocolates and candy. There’s even a sculpture of the Statue of Liberty made from 800 pounds of milk chocolate.
Colorful & Captivating Coral Reef Aquarium At Mirage
Location: 3400 Las Vegas Blvd, map | Category: Attraction
It’s hard to imagine the makings of a coral reef in the middle of the desert. Yet at the Mirage, behind the front desk, are all the makings of a thriving coral reef, there for your viewing pleasure.
A 20,000-gallon saltwater aquarium stocked with angelfish, pufferfish, tangs and several other exotic sea creatures, most notably three different types of sharks.
The LINQ Promenade
Location: 3545 S Las Vegas Blvd, map | Category: Attraction
The LINQ Promenade is home to the High Roller Ferris Wheel with a boardwalk feel and many shops offering specialty items, souvenirs, and major retailers.
I LOVE Sugar is here, featuring a 14,000-square-foot candy shop, which is the largest candy shop in the world.
Shop til you drop at Fashion Show Mall

This large Vegas Strip Shopping Mall hosts fashion shows and other exciting events.
There are many high-end fashion designer boutiques, retailers, and specialty shops at Fashion Show Mall.
Explore all the Amazing Art at Resorts World

One of the newest resorts in Vegas offers a wide variety of art throughout the resort. See if you can spot all the unique art.
Take a photo at The Welcome to Vegas Sign
Location: 5100 S Las Vegas Blvd, map | Category: Things to see
The iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign, with its historic Americana design, is definitely worth a photo op! Located on the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard, stop there on your way into town and start making memories.
There is a parking lot across the street from the sign and a pedestrian bridge over to the sign where people can take pictures.
Tip: Take a limo ride from the airport and ask the drive to stop at the sign and take a picture. I did this on a trip one summer.
See High Flying Circus Acts at Circus Circus
Location: 2880 S Las Vegas Blvd, map | Category: Things to See
Enjoy these free fantastic circus performers as they fly through the air with the greatest ease at Circus Circus.
You can also check out the Carnival Midway Arcade while you are there and do some cheaper gambling compared to other strip casinos.
Art Lover’s Paradise at the Cosmopolitan, ARIA, and City Center

Walk through The Cosmopolitan and experience a wide range of provocative and interactive artwork, all striving to bring accessibility and appreciation of the arts to all guests visiting the hotel.
Numerous works of art are strewn throughout CityCenter and ARIA…from grand installations to sculptures and paintings. This abounding collection of art makes these casinos a must-see for any art enthusiast.
The Light Show at Eiffel Tower Paris

The Eiffel Tower replica at Paris Hotel and Casino has a flashy, colorful light show that runs for five minutes every hour and a half hour from sunset to midnight.
There are more than 300 colored lights and 800 strobe lights that are part of the display that can be seen from the strip.
See the World’s Brightest Light Beam at Luxor

Visitors of the Luxor can see the brightest beam of light in the world at the pyramid located at the Egyptian-themed hotel and casino.
The light beam can be seen from 275 miles away on clear nights.
Visit Venice Right In Vegas

The Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian have turned strolling and shopping into an exquisite tour through the Venice Canals.

Stroll seamlessly from one casino to another via connecting sidewalk entrances found along the Strip, the best way to visit multiple must-see old and new Vegas casinos all in one day! Be sure to take advantage of pedestrian crosswalks and bridges for safe and fast crossing over large intersections.

Be A Pinball Wizard at The Pinball Hall of Fame

Hoover Dam, a Man-Made Wonder of the World, and its accompanying ByPass Bridge (The Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge) are must-sees during your Vegas trip! Named “Best Free Attraction in Las Vegas“, The 117,000-gallon aquarium at Silverton Casino features tropical fish and mermaids that swim through the waters and interact with guests. Feeding shows happen daily at 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm.

There are also freshwater aquariums at the Bass Pro Shop onsite at the hotel.
Decadence in the Desert at Ethel M Chocolate Factory
Location: 2 Cactus Garden Dr, map | Category: Attraction
The chocolate factory and gift shop offers premium chocolates and wine with a free self-guided factory tour, a three-acre cactus garden, and add-ons visitors can purchase, like chocolate tastings, and chocolate-making classes.
Are drinks still free in Vegas?
Generally, yes. You can still score a few drinks in Vegas casinos. But, don’t expect them to flow steadily.
I would least tip $1-$5 per drink. The bigger upfront tip usually speeds up the service for additional drinks. I like to make the first tip at least $10.

I found if you can go to the 20th floor window of the Bellagio Hotel ( just walk up the stairs by the main elevator, to the upstairs rooms) you can watch the fountain show at night with a great aerial view.

There is NO timeshare presentation at 4 Queens or Binions Slot Pull.
There is other free slots at souvenir shops on Freemont which do require timeshare presentations.
My brother won the 50$ free slot at Binions last year.
