Win tomorrow and I think by the time the City games comes around a draw would be enough, as I said before Christmas, we had most of the tough away games in first half of season, while City have them now, there were lucky at Villa, Everton, Brentford, but at last it caught up with them at Palace. Burnley, Wolves, Leeds, WH, yet to come, where the percentage is in the win or draw out come, over the loss out come.

If Everton go down, and Liverpool miss out on title, then I see legal action from Everton, considering they have an admission of guilt already over the penalty that never was. You don't grovel with apologies if you did nothing wrong. With millions at stake no way will they let it do if they go down.

Haven't seen you post in a while. Enjoyed your reviews on games and whatnot. Long but decent if I recall.

At Oct 14th 2021 Liverpool had shown the best record at 80% win rate from games looked at since the 19/19 season.

Man City also had a 80% win rate but lost 1 game more so were in second place.

Are there any stats to back this up? It's constantly said but I never see any data to prove it. Since the last one we've

    Played - 11

    Won - 9

Drawn - 1 (League Cup Final)

    Lost - 1 (Inter)

A while is right, and Long is right, maybe a bit like Trent's and Henderson's passes in terms of long and decent? I can only hope ! :-)

The Arsenal tie is a tricky one. They've had a chequered season but have been getting results of late. We are on a good run albeit not putting away some goal chances in last few matches. The 6-0 demolition of Leeds was the last solid result we had. And a very solid one it was too. Once run-ins start, it can get harder and each tie can be a potential banana skin. Players think a bit differently, sometimes, some succumb to the pressure in the moment, but recent success in recent seasons shows that we can do it again at the highest level, despite jangling nerves of fans. We have the capability.

That sweet ending of that 30 year wait for the league of course was more than welcome(!), (I cant find my post on that!), but still being in the Champions League is where we want to be so it remains to be seen if Klopp will optimise for the CL over the PL. We have better squad depth and with injuries few some rotation may get us through to challenge on both. It all depends on the CL draw although no places to hide at this stage of the competition. If we keep winning in the league, Man City may slip up again so it could get tighter. Likely to remain tight to the end though, and it will depend on Man City's CL run as well. They are chomping at the bit to win that one. But overall, great that we are looking Up and competing.

    Kick-off is 8:15 btw .....

Chelsea has some cheek. So they cannot sell tickets so no fans are able to go to the Middlesborough FA Cup tie. So they now want the match to be played behind closed doors. Here is the response from Middlesborough,

"We are aware of Chelsea's request to have Saturday's EmiratesFA Cup sixth round tieplayed behind closed doors and find their suggestion both bizarre and without any merit whatsoever.

All concerned are well aware of the reasons Chelsea have been sanctioned and that this has nothing to do with Middlesbrough Football Club.

To suggest as result that MFC and ourfans should be penalised is not only grossly unfair but without any foundation.

Given the reasons for these sanctions, for Chelsea to seek to invoke sporting "integrity" as reason for the game being played behind closed doors is ironic in the extreme."

Good on them for this. It is nobodies fault other than Chelsea that they find themselves in this situation. I don't see why other clubs should suffer and accommodate them.

There was something on Athletic about Spurs need long break between games. Liverpool scored better the shorter the gap. Not exactly what you are looking for but in the sane area

With the way these games are going, really hope we get Benfica in the next round. One, we owe them from that Simao game and their CB's are Otamendi and Vertonghen, and they had Adel Taarabt playing. The reserve team could beat them and it would be a nice fixture either side of the City game.

They are very average tbh. Wouldn't fear them in the slightest. Would be happy to draw them.

Horrible fuuckers, but they aren’t a particularly good team, beating them 4 times in the same comp would certainly put a big smile on the face of nearly all football fans. But they certainly wouldn’t be my preferred draw in the next round.

Benfica for us and Bayern for City would be the perfect draw with our game in the middle

We'll get Benfica & City will get Bayern. In the first draw. Which UEFA will have re-do because of another co*ck-up and the teams will be reversed!

Be confident. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow nights game, don’t think it’s being carried away at all, I expect us to beat Arsenal.
